Above is Tammy's (K7BKE) Jeep, a 2006 Jeep
Wrangler Rubicon Long Body (LJ). She runs a Kenwood TM-D700 for
VHF/UHF/APRS and an Icom-7000 for HF. Her HF antenna is a home
brew coil for 40m with a 102" whip attached and an Icom autotuner for
other bands. Her VHF/UHF antenna is a Diamond NR770HAB.
The white Jeep is rig, a 2013 Jeep Wrnagler Rubicon 10th Anniversary.
I run an FTM-400DR for VHF/UHF/APRS and an Icom 7000 for HF. She's
setup with Stealth Telecom 9360 for HF-6m and a Diamond NR770HAB for
VHF/UHF. The NR770 is mounted to a Diamond K9000TM motorized
mount so we can lower the antenna for garages and parking ramps.
When we're running in urban environments we usually keep the Stealth
antenna tied down unless we're using it so we can get into ramps and
